I need a little bit of help from you guys. Everyone that reads this post. . . . please leave a comment. I promise, no one will judge you for what you say! :-)
I want to know the first three words that come to mind when you think about submission, your relationship, spanking, etc etc etc. . . . . Or, I guess more aptly, which three words describe what you value most about it?
For me, those words are trust, love, and security.
What are yours? I promise. . . . . this all has a good end. You're likely to see these words again. :-) I'm just curious as to the overall feeling. . . . .
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A BOTTOM/SUBMISSIVE/SPANKEE TO RESPOND. . . . . . I WANT TO HEAR FROM EVERYONE! :-)
Trust, respect and love. Very close to your list... but those are the 3 I think of. Security is a good one for sure. I think respect though, because that exchange of submission can't be given/accepted if there isn't mutual respect of not only each other... but of the process too.

Oh man Todd beat me to it! 1 TRUST 2 LOVE 3 RESPECT. For us it works both ways. I trust Sir as much as if not more than he trusts me. Our love just grows everyday(we say I love you hundreds of times a day!) Without the respect we have for each other NOTHING would work,not our vanilla world or our TTWD world.

I'm a spankee and I would say my top three words would be: 1) trust; 2) accountability; and 3) forgiveness.

Surrender comes from the giving up of control to the other person and security stems from this and includes a very large element of trust. Relaxation because it frees my mind and takes me into a very calm, reflective place

ReplyDeleteI could hazard a guess, but I believe that I'll leave that one alone, for now. :-) Thank you very much for leaving your comment. Those elements do matter to many of us, and matter greatly. I, for one, would not be able to truly allow myself to value my top three without the exchange of power, and assumption of control. It's a stairstep process. . . . all of these words, I'm sure, come into play for each person . . . just at different levels. Thank you so much for the comment!
