Welcome to the Sixth Day of Christmas! Something often focused on during this season is the giving of gifts. . . . . . . "I need to get this for my mother!" "Oh, that's horrid!" "Oh, why, thank you Aunt Edna. . . . I needed a sweater that looks like you would wear it."*simply* Today's focus is on the same. . . . . . . . . a gift. Simply put, submission is a gift. This has absolutely ALWAYS been stressed to me. . . . . . . Submission must be offered. It cannot, MUST not, be taken, or demanded. Months ago, days after meeting KYOTKGUY, he gave me an assignment. He asked me to write about this topic:
Write about it I did. . . . . . . . but I got so much of it wrong, even down to the title. I titled it "The Gift of Obedience". . . . . . and while obedience is a part of it, it truly, at its core, has absolutely nothing to do with submission. While I did get much of it wrong. . . . . I got much of it right. I know, however, understand sooooooo much more. I'm learning daily, and I've come so far from that point.
"Why submission is a gift, and why Tops need to cherish that gift."
I freely offer my submission to KYOTKGUY. That is the gift I give him, and he holds it dear. In turn, he gives me more than I could ever list. At the core, however, he gives me the gift of self-expression. . . . . an ability to be myself as I am, on every level. This is the gift that keeps on giving, and its exchanged every single day. I have no idea how to express what I truly feel about this topic. . . . . . It's surreal, perfect, amazing, heart-felt. . . . . . . . my gift is returned to me, ten-fold, every day. . . . . . . and he claims the same. :-)
Today, consider what you get. . . . . . . and what you give. Truly LOOK at the dynamic that is set up in your own life. . . . . . . .and, today, give a little bit extra.

ReplyDeleteKeagen, I've said for a long time that submission is the greatist gift one person can give to another, only riveled by what should be returned.
Warm hugs,
Paul.
Beautiful post Keagen. Love it.
