Winter Boredom

So I'm sitting around today, completely bored out of my mind. I spent awhile talking to one of my really good friends, and then I started some agressive re-organization of my iTunes library, and then I got on Facebook (only to discover a little bit later that I wasn't ALLOWED to be on Facebook)(oops), and then I started working on some homeworkish-type stuff, and then, I got to thinking. What's a girl to do on these days when it seems like there is NOTHING to do???? See, when I get bored, I get in trouble. I get anxious, I get irritable, and I start getting REALLY impulsive. Now, I have plenty of stuff I could be studying, but what's the fun in that?????? So, instead of landing myself in more trouble than I'm willing to deal with, I decided to come on here and blog! Yay! :-D Here's some things to do on a boring Sunday afternoon:
  • Text a friend you haven't texted in awhile.
  • Organize your closet.
  • Go to the mall with a friend.
  • Color a picture.
  • Design something.
  • Write a story.
  • Put your favorite memory in words.
  • Teach a child something new.
  • Go to the humane society and walk a dog.
  • Take a long, hot, bubble bath. . . . . with your favorite music!
  • Cook an elaborate dinner .
  • Bake something fun.
  • Read a book.
  • Play an instrument.
  • Facebook all those people you haven't talked to in months.
  • Comment on all of your friend's pictures.
  • Pick a topic, and set out to master it.
  • Go on a long drive.
  • Go on a nature walk and take a million pictures.
  • Watch a movie.
  • Have a snowball fight with someone
  • Build a snowman.
  • Throw your pillows across the room and see if you can make them stack up. (Yeah, maybe not.)
  • Go to the park.
  • Clean the house.
  • Talk to your dog.
  • Plan a sleepover, and then do it. :-D
  • Prepare a romantic evening.
  • Play a game.
  • Organize your iTunes library, or all of your pictures. (Tedious, but hey, it's something to do! And the pictures are a walk down memory lane!)
  • Get on Flickr and check out all the cool pictures.
  • Find an online picture editor, and have fun with all the random effects.
  • Complain to a friend about how bored you are. (Totally j/k).
  • Make snow angels.
  • Go to the mall and try on clothes.
  • Make pointless lists, and share them with your friends!
  • Play games online.
  • Exercise.
  • Discover new favorite blogs.
  • Go through the archives of a current favorite blog.
  • (Suggestion from Paul) Build a house of cards.
  • (Suggestion from Paul) Complete a jigsaw puzzle.
Ok, I'm still bored. :-D But now I have a blog post for the day. *grins* Enjoy the rest of your Sunday afternoon, and do something fun!

  1. Keagen, snowy Sunday afternoons, you could always play pick-a-stick, always a favourite when we couldn't go out.
You don't mention board games or card games.
At the home I was in we had a big box of incomplete packs of cards, building huge rambling structures with cards or doing large jigsaw puzzles are excellent ways of passing the time.
Just my two cents worth. :)
    Warm hugs,
    Paul.

  3. I am cruising the net, crocheting and watching TV all at the same time. What I SHOULD be doing is starting a wash, emptying the dishwasher and putting away more stuff from the move. Oh well there is always tomorrow right? :)

  4. LOL :-D Dontcha LOVE "should be"?????

I SHOULD be learning more HTML. . . . but I was going crazy with the tediousness and attention to detail it requires when you're hand-coding everything. :-D

  6. Snowy day, so take that long hot bubble bath with the music, dry off, then do some contemplative corner time....before the Superbowl. :)

  7. Psh, let's nix the corner time. The purpose of the list is to stay OUT of trouble. :-D

  10. Ok, Keagen, I'm curious... Why aren't you "allowed" to be on Facebook? I'm totally addicted, so that would be a real hardship for me!

  11. LOL It was to be a weekend of reflection and focus, and I thought it was just one day. . . . . and not today. :-D

Honestly, I could get by just fine without, but I can't say that I don't use it when it's around.

  12. Paul, pick a stick? Is that like the America Pick Up Sticks? a big jumbled pile of thin rods that you try to pull each one out of without moving ANY of the others?
