Well?

Many of you probably came to my blog this morning, looking for my regularly scheduled 5 am blog post, and thought, "Well? Are you back, or aren't you?"

Tough question. . . . . . I'm trying to be back. :-) The words which typically come so easily and with such emotion just don't seem to be flowing right now. I'm working on "life stuff" on about 6 different fronts, and it's quite draining. I'm getting spanked all the time for my attitude and current streak of passive aggression, and that's draining. I'm not sleeping well right now, and that's draining.

However, I'll be the first to say that I've got an absolute ton to be thankful for. Life might be a bit stressful and emotional at times, but those are just the small things. . . . . . . . I often think back to high school, and the drama that's there, and the times that seemed "huge" and that were going to "ruin my life!". They didn't. Those moments that seem to dominate us are oft forgotten in the next month, six months, year, ten years. What do you remember? More often than not, it's the good times that stick out the most, and as the "bad times" resolve themselves, we tend to allow them to slip into the past. Here's a short list of things I've got to be thankful for:
  • I've got KYOTKGUY.
  • I've got a family that loves me.
  • I've got the sweetest dog on Earth.
  • I've got loyal readers.
  • I've got a car that runs.
  • I've got a nice place to live.
  • Bills have been paid this month.
  • I've eaten three meals a day for quite some time, and have the ability to continue doing so.
  • It's been GORGEOUS outside.
  • I've been able to take a long, relaxing walk every day for a week.
  • I've got a good book that I'm enjoying.
  • I'm reconnecting with old friends, and making new ones.
  • Summer is just around the corner.
  • Birds sing, the sun shines, children laugh, and grass is green.
So, am I back, or aren't I? Well. . . . . . . . we'll just leave it at. . . . . . . . . I'm trying to be. :-) When I've got the words, I will be here. When I don't have the words. . . . . . . . I'll letcha know when you can expect me back.  How's that work for ya?

  2. Keagen, you are right, the good things we remember, wonderful list by the way.
I don't seem to have much memory for pain, once it's gone, it's gone. :D
    Warm hugs,
    Paul.
