On Guard!

Or, is it more apt to say, "Off guard!" I don't know about you guys, but I hate being caught off-guard by a spanking, no matter how short it may be. The short, sharp ones are the worst. They come out of nowhere, catch you off guard, leave you embarrassed and a bit flustered, and they take a couple minutes to sort through.

When I'm put back on my feet, or firmly sat down after one of the sharp, short attention-getters, I usually don't move past "ow" for quite some time. When caught off guard, everything hurts and stings more, not to mention the embarrassment factor goes up a good bit. Even when there's no one else around (but ESPECIALLY if there is), it's hard to prevent your face from getting red and glancing around to check if anyone (even if they're non-existent) saw. After moving past the pain, my attention shifts to whatever landed me in the predicament, and I swear that I'm never doing it again. My entire demeanor shifts, and I become much more aware of my tone, body language, and place.

Dontcha hate being caught off guard?

  1. I remember that feeling from when I was very young more than sixty years ago.
But the short sharp shock is a very useful tool in the hands of a caring Dom.
    Warm hugs,
    Paul.

  2. I'm gonna hafta say that fewer things are more attention-getting more effectively, but daggoneit, I hate the way it leaves me feeling, especially if it was a childish, sullen remark that landed me there. I want to be able to catch those kinda things myself, without taking a trip OTK.

  3. I'm gonna half to side with Paul on this one. But, then again, I've never had to experience your side, thank goodness. :)

  4. Did I really just write "half" instead of "have?" LOL. I think it might be time to cut back on that crack habit of mine. ;)
