Yeah, so you guys caught me in a mood. :-) I apologize ahead of time. . . . I know this isn't my usual bent. :-) A thread was started on WSF as to the "rules of being a bottom". . . . . It's a completely snarky, sarcastic, and witty thread, and we've really been having a good time with it. Here was my contribution. *big grin*
1. Make sure your body language says everything, so you don't have to.
2. When you must say something, be sure it is aptly amusing, something along the lines of, "Who died and made you God?"
3. Always loudly announce how UNFAIR something is.
4. Ignoring tops will get you far. Just refuse to admit they exist, regardless of what they say.
5. Running is a valid coping skill. When they tell you you have to come back sometime, prove them wrong.
6. Laughter is an amazing diversion. Just continue to laugh, no matter what happens. If you get paddled, laugh. When you stand up, laugh.
7. Loudly muse to yourself while otk what kind of wimp your top is. Act as if they can't hear you.
8. "No" is the key word in your vocabularly. Use it often. The non-verbal equivalent of "no" (or, even better, hell no), is to stand, arms crossed, weight on one leg, with your head held high and a dark scowl on your face.
9. Disagree with everything they say, just as a matter of principal.
10. Tops have a horrible habit of pointing out the MOST OBVIOUS THINGS, and expecting you to acknowledge how smart they are. For instance, "You're getting a spanking." Well, duh. "It's Thursday." Really? I had no idea. "This is going to hurt." I expected it to tickle, honestly. Make sure you point it out EVERY SINGLE time this happens. "No dip, Sherlock" is another staple phrase. "Thank you, Captain Obvious" also works well.
I'm packed and ready to go. I'm worried that I'm going to get stopped coming through security. "I'm sorry, ma'am, but traveling with so many pairs of panties is a breach of international law. . . ." I'd laugh. :-D Seriously, though. . . . . I've got WAYY more stuff than I ought to have. . . . I could survive on a month long trip to Europe with what I'm bringing. . . . . The thing is, I have to be ready for at least 6 videos, which means. . . . . 6 complete outfits. Then there's the, "Well, they might wanna go in THIS direction. *sigh* Contingencies screw with light packing everywhere. I'm going to be phoneless in Panama, so for those of you who are my text buddies. . . . .sorry. :-( The last I'll be able to be contacted is 1445 CST in Houston. . . . . and then, I pass into the dark abyss. Cross your fingers and hope for a good internet connection! I will, as always, be blogging/journaling extensively. I'm looking forward to this. . . . . I've heard nothing but good things about Tom and Sophie. For now, I'm off to bed. Hopefully, you'll hear from me tomorrow. *big grin*
