Flying Out

So, I am, once again, sitting at DIA waiting on a flight. :-) The last time I was hanging out at the Denver airport, I got a phone call from Dallas to confirm my shoot with him. . . .I wonder if I'll get any fun calls today? *big grin* As always, I can NEVER come straight through DIA. I swear to God, they've got me on some kind of list. "This one! This one is here ALL THE TIME. . . . . make her life as difficult as possible!" Usually, I get chosen for secondary screening. Actually, this is the first time I DIDN'T get chosen for secondary. (You know, that entirely pointless process where the security guard gets to feel you up, make you dump all your stuff out, and then laugh as you try to repack what was a perfectly packed bag?) This time. . . . . it was worse. My checked bag was 5 pounds over the weight limit . . . . .which usually, is a 50 dollar charge. I talked the guy into handing my bag back to me, so I could take 5 pounds of stuff out. *scowl* Now, I've got an extra carry-on. . . . which is my personal pet-peeve. I like having my backpack on the plane. . . . nothing more, nothing less. Now I've got a backpack, a duffel, and a goosh pillow. Hoorah for gooshes! It's better than the 50 dollar charge, though. This way, at least I know that if they lose my luggage. . . . . I'll have. . . . . one pair of cool jeans, two shirts that do NOT match, and 5 belts. That's enough for a shoot, right? *big grin* However, karma does come around. . . . I also managed to not pay the checked bag fee. I don't know how it happened. . . . .he didn't ask for it; I had the money out to pay him. . . . . and that was that. I waited for a couple minutes. . . . asked him if that was all. . . . . and he said, "Have a nice flight!" *shrugs* Yay for small favors! Now, I've got an hour to burn. . . . . I'm a bit nervous, but also excited. This feels a lot like my first AEG shoot. . . . . before that one, I was sick as a dog. Now, I don't worry about AEG, at all. . . . . but now, I've got all the insanely fun feelings going on, like butterflies, and feeling like my stomach is from another planet. It doesn't feel like it belongs in my body at all lol. Anywho, you guys. . . . . cross your fingers, wish me luck, and I'll be back on US soil on Monday!
