Today, I'm not doing a spanking related post. I know, but you guys will get over it. :-)
Today, I want to wish all of you who are fathers an absolutely magical Father's Day. Fathers carry a special burden, and a special place, in this world. All of us have a man, in some shape, form, or fashion, who we look up to. If your own father isn't worth honoring on this special day, reach out to someone close, and let them know you appreciate their work, personality, and strength. Even if they're not truly a father, every man has an ability to affect others. . . . . and those that affect in a positive way deserve the respect and admiration of those around them.
Dads. . . . . . here's a word from a person who had a man in her life that was a provider, and not truly a father. (I'm happy to say that is no longer the case. . . . . family by choice is a far stronger bond than family by blood.) But dads. . . . . if you have a child, please, realize that every move you make helps shape and change your little girl/boy. A simple touch on the shoulder. . . . . a purely motived hug helps teach that healthy physical touch is welcome, and allowed. Holding your little girl when she comes to you sobbing teaches that emotional expression is positive, and nothing to be ashamed of. Dads. . . . . your sons watch how you treat the women in your life. . . . YOU are shaping the next generation of husbands. . . . . boyfriends. . . . . Tops. Teach them. . . . . love them. . . . . shape them. . . . . . for you have more impact than you will EVER realize.
So, here's a big hug to all of you dads. . . . . and know that someone looks up to you, somewhere. Think about the legacy you TRULY want to leave, and the impact you have the lives around you.
Happy Father's Day!
Beautifully said Keagan.. Fathers leave lifelong memories in every little girl and boy, let them all be good ones :)

I actually think this was a very deep spanking post.
ReplyDeleteWell. . . . . . perhaps it is rooted. :-) Not everyone can find the meaning.
