I was basking out in the warm, yet mild, sun, listening to the birds sing a song of spring, and taking in the gentle, soothing breeze, when the thought hit me out of nowhere that love doesn't need a reason, it doesn't have to rhyme, and it's not always perfect. The mysterious and mesmerizing nature is what keeps us coming back time, after time, after time. If love could be explained easily, then it would be nothing to marvel at.
I marvel at the love between KYOTKGUY and myself all the time. All the time I ask myself, why me? What I am coming to realize, however, is that it's not exactly my place to question it, nor to continue to ask, "why me?" To the contrary, it's my responsibility to accept his choice with grace and to bask in the gift that has been given to me.
He will all the time note that I give him the gift of my submission. . . . . . and that he cherishes, nurtures, and takes a great amount of pride in that gift, and while I believe all of those words from the bottom of my heart, I've been given a greater gift. . . . . . . the opportunity to be myself, to trust without reservation, to love without explanation, and be loved in return.
I'm his Keagen Grace, and there are few things (note: none) that I say with more pride. What that also means, though, is that he is mine. While he completes me, I also complete him, and that's a facet of love that many people miss. It's not a one way street, nor a one sided coin. As I've pointed out in previous posts, one-sides coins are impossible, although it sure can be nice to try. . . . . . . there is such a give and take between the two of us that it can be hard to figure out exactly who, and what, begins and ends where. We are inexplicably bound and woven tightly together and while some marvels NEED an explanation, some, like love, completion, and happiness, just don't.

Keagen, love is whole and seamless, the fact that you realise this is very good.
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs,
Paul.
That was beautiful. And yes, I think many people, especially in a D/s relationship, don't realize that the need and sense of completion works both ways. To be honest and real, I think it must. I am very happy for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you both very much. . . .
ReplyDeleteI agree, Sara. I'd imagine D/s to be very unsatisfying and lopsided if it were anything but complete. The concept just doesn't really make sense to me, since there is no such thing as a one-sided coin. . . .
So in answer to your other question,I've been here just haven't commented lately. Work stress, roommate stress(that is GONE now)Sir and I got rid of our roommate and we are so much more relaxed! Once again your post hits VERY close to home for me. I feel more me and more complete because of the love and respect My Sir and I share. I am glad you found it young Keagen but let me tell you it is JUST as sweet when you are close to 50! Gotta go Sir just walked in the door and he is making funny tax jokes! :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad the stress is gone! Makes it so much easier to stay centered and focused!
