I know I'm really, really hit and miss about posting and have been for a few months. I'm sorry about that. My energy level has been way low for a few months and my emotions often take a dive with my energy levels, leading me to withdraw and complete the bare minimum tasks needed for survival. :-)
KYOTKGUY and I are doing wonderful. We were able to spend a little chunk of time together tonight that was greatly appreciated. We just sat and talked about a little of this and a little of that and then, he brought my attention to a couple of things. First, I was starting to slip a bit on some stuff that we'd been working really, really hard one. Second, I had directly ignored a command. Well, I didn't exactly ignore it . . . . I chose to interpret it other than I knew it was meant. What KYOTKGUY said that meant was that I had also chosen, in choosing that path, to accept the consequences for my actions.
Well, that caught me a little bit off guard. I really *didn't* expect a spanking. Regardless, I was going to get one. I was sitting on the floor next to his chair and he reached down and pulled me over next to him with a gentle, "Come here, baby girl." He pulled me up onto his lap and we just talked. His voice was soft, loving, tender and awash with a glow that I haven't heard in awhile. We talked about a lot. About submission. About love. About trust. About the occasional necessary reminder. About choices. About us.
The entire time, I had me arms wrapped around his shoulders and my head buried in his neck. I just listened and let his words wash over me like a wave. Most of them were words that I *really* needed to hear. Once he finished talking, he carefully turned me over his left knee. My head dangled near the floor, toes braced on the floor.
What followed was a tender, yet firm, reminder of my submission and of expected obedience. It wasn't extremely hard but it was quite firm. It took more than 3 hours for *all* of the stinging to go away. Most of that 3 hours was spent sitting on my sore bottom and legs while driving home.
I wasn't looking for a reminder but it came at a very good time. I'd gradually been slipping and distancing and I hadn't quite noticed until I was guided back into place. Things feel a lot better now. :-)
I'm glad you're feeling better Keagan!
