As many of you know, I am a die-hard Harry Potter fan. . . . . . . . and I just saw Half Blood Prince. Two words. . . . . . . and this is coming from a die hard fan. . . . . . DON'T BOTHER. Worst movie of the series. . . .. it was horrible. The beginning was slow, the middle full of stupid teenaged love triangles, and the end horrific. They used, oh, maybe 10 pages or so from the book, and the rest, they made up on the fly. Blah.
Keagen, I am sorry the movie didn't turn out good. I usually wait till they come out on video or our cheap theatre. The first one was my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI can't say I've ever been a huge Potter fan...anything that generates a fanatacism (sp?) of that level (Twilight is another example) tends to turn me off a little. Sorry Keagen, hehehe....to each their own of course.
ReplyDeleteNow...if they made a Scooby Doo 3.....
I LOVE Harry Potter, and was SORELY disappointed. . . . . The first, second, and third were amazingly done, the fourth, ehhh, the fifth was about the end, and the sixth can just go rot.
ReplyDeleteIt's alright, Jean. . . . . I'll live. :-D
And, Andy. . . . . . there's usually a reason they develop such a huge following. . . . . because they ROCK. :-D I am one of the few who can actually ride both boats. . . .the Twilight and the Harry Potter boat. . . . :-D
ReplyDeleteWell, at least we do have something in common, right? :)
ReplyDeleteYou are right...they did take a LOT of liberties with it and should have stayed more true to the books. But if you think about it, there has to be a worse movie in the bunch...hopefully they will take this opportunity to stay true to the last book...they have it split and will have the time to stay true to it...
ReplyDeleteWell, the last book was HORRIBLE in and of its own right, and so, the movies CAN'T be any better. . . . and the fact that they're splitting it into two. . . . . *fights gagging*
ReplyDeleteGoblet of Fire wasn't that bad. . . . . it was better than Order of the Phoenix. . . . . Moody not looking tough enough!??!?!?!
Ehh, it was there a bit, but not nearly as much as it should have been. His struggle, his need, his fight. . . . none of that was there. The attack on Hogwarts. . . . gone. The assumption of control by Prof. McGonagall, gone. *shakes head* BAD MOVIE.
